THE WORSHIP NETWORK HONORED WITH 8 TELLY AWARDS

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – June 6, 2006 – The Worship Network has recently been awarded eight Telly Awards in the international competition that honors outstanding local, regional and cable film and video productions.  In the 27th Annual Telly Awards competition, The Worship Network won three silver and five bronze Telly Awards, bringing the Network’s total Telly Awards to 29 in the past three years. 

“Classical Worship,” programs that feature the music of the great composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Handel and Chopin, set to The Worship Network’s signature stunning nature and art video images, received a total of six Telly Awards.  Three Silver Tellys were bestowed in the Music Video category, Nature/Wildlife category and Use of Music category.  Three Bronze Tellys were awarded in the Entertainment category, Religious/Spiritual category and Videography/Cinematography category. 

Winning two bronze Telly Awards in the categories of Religious/Spiritual and Editing was “Grace” a feature of The Worship Network’s “Restoration” special event program, a unique program depicting the story of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation by artistically blending a live music event at LifeBridge Christian Church with original worship songs, worshipful expression through dance and painting,  and powerful scripture with awe-inspiring scenery from around the world.    

The Telly Awards is the premier awards program honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. The Telly Awards showcase the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world and this year received more than 12,000 entries for its 27th competition from all 50 states and many foreign countries.
