My Wife May Just Be Right

Dear Friend of Worship,

Not long ago, my wife and I were heading into the airport security line at Denver International Airport when a TSA worker called out my name.  “Hey, You’re Paul Williams from Worship.  I watch you on Daystar every night.”

She continued, “I don’t sleep all that well, and you have no idea how helpful that program is to me each and every night.  It helps me keep some sense of spiritual balance in my life!”

We chatted for a few minutes before I had to head to my gate but as I walked away she said, “Really, again, you have no idea . . .” Then her voice trailed off.

My wife turned to me and said, “You know, this may be the most important work you ever do in your life.”  You see, I am involved in many types of ministry work.  All of them demand a lot of time and bring great reward, but my wife may just be right.  The time I spend shooting programs for Worship may be the most important work I do.

Over the years The Worship Network has heard from thousands of viewers with a story to share.  Some, like my own barber, appreciate the way Worship helps their quiet time early in the morning.  More often, the stories are like those of the TSA worker….life  has been difficult, sleep is elusive, and Worship is a ray of hope in a pretty dark day.

This September Worship will have been on the air for seventeen years.  For almost two decades the majestic scenery, encouraging words of Scripture, and inspirational music of Worship have been touching millions of lives throughout this country and all over the world.

There is one single reason The Worship Network continues to bless so many people.  It’s because of you!  That’s right.  The only way Worship can continue its ministry is because people like you care enough to give so that others may know the joy of Worship.

During these difficult financial times, your gifts are more important than ever.  A gift to The Worship Network doesn’t just touch one life.  It touches millions of lives of people like you –people who want to draw closer to God, who want to deepen their spiritual journey, and who desire to Worship not just on Sunday, but every day of the week.

We trust God to meet our needs through faithful viewers like you.  Your gift this month will help Worship make its way to millions over the airwaves, through 24 hour live-streaming on the Internet, and through inspirational Worship DVDs.

Sincerely,

Paul S. Williams
